Reorganizing resources in collections
The application facilitates a quick and simple mechanism to organize your data resources across collections. This topic explains how to add resources to multiple collections, move them between collections, and reorganize them as your catalog evolves — all while ensuring resources remain properly grouped and accessible.
Adding resources to a collection
To add resources to other collections:
To add resources to other collections, start from:
Organization Profile page > Resources tab
Organization Profile page > Glossary tab
Collections page > Contains tab
Resource page > Related tab
Table resource page> Columns tab (for column-level additions)
From the Actions button, select Add resources to collection.
On the Move or add resource page, use filters, search, or advanced search to locate and select your resources.
Choose the resources for adding and loop through the various search methods to get your list ready for editing. The list of Selected resources is be maintained as you scroll through different search options in preparation for editing.
The screen has a paginated list of terms with 50 resources per page, with a maximum of 1000 terms. If you have more than 1000 resources, apply filters to gain access to additional resources that are initially not visible
On the Select changes page, do the following:
Select the Add resources option.
From the dropdwon, select the collections to which you want to add the resources.
Click the Add resources button.
On the next screen, click the Confirm changes button.
Visit a resource page to confirm that the resource is now included in both the original collection and the new collections you selected.
Moving or removing resources from a collection
You can move resources from one collection to another to keep your catalog organized. This is useful for reclassification, cleanup, or simplifying your structure.
Important
To remove a resource from a collection, simply move it out of that collection and into another. A resource must always belong to at least one collection.
To reorganize resources in collections:

This action can be performed only from a Collection page.
Browse to the Collections page > Contains tab.
From the Actions button, select Add resources to collection.
On the Move or add resource page, use filters, search, or advanced search to locate and select your resources.

Select the Move resources option.
From the From collections dropdown, Choose the collection you want to remove the resources from. You also have the option to select All collections containing resources. Selecting this option will remove the resouces from all collections that contain the resource and move it to the new collections you select.
From the To collection dropdown, choose another collection where the resource should move.
Click the Move resources button.
On the confirmation screen, click Confirm changes.
Visit the resource or collection page to confirm the resource is no longer listed in the original collection.
