Preparing to run the Qlik Sense Cloud collector

Setting up pre-requisites for running the collector

Make sure that the machine from where you are running the collector meets the following hardware and software requirements.

Dataset

You must have a ddw-catalogs dataset set up to hold your catalog files when you are done running the collector.

If you are using Catalog Toolkit , follow these instructions to prepare the datasets for collectors.



Setting up authentication for Qlik Sense Cloud

To set up permissions:

  1. Assign the Tenant Admin role to the user that will run the collector.

  2. Grant the view permission to any users who have access to shared spaces, ensuring they can view the resources in those spaces. For detailed information about Spaces, see the Qlik Sense Spaces documentation.
