About the search cards
Enrich the search cards by adding the most important custom metadata fields in the search cards. This gives users important context about the resource as they browse through the resource lists. You can add freeform fields, select fields, date fields, but not Relationships as fields.
Elevate your search experience by enriching the search cards with the most important custom metadata fields. This enhancement provides users with crucial context about each resource while browsing through resource lists, making navigation and discovery more intuitive and efficient. You can incorporate various field types, including freeform fields, select fields, and date fields. However, please note that relationship fields cannot be added as part of this customization.
Use this feature to ensure that key information is readily accessible at a glance, significantly improving user engagement and resource management, by tailoring the user experience to meet specific needs, whether it's displaying project status, important dates, or any other critical metadata.
Adding metadata field to search card

Perform this task in the Catalog Configuration organization.
To add metadata field to search card:
Create a custom field. For detailed instructions, see Creating different types of fields.
Browse to the Search Card Metadata resource.
On the Resource page, browse to the Related tab. Here you can see all the related resources.
Browse to the Add a related resource tab in the sidebar and click the Add a related resource button. Edit relationships for this Section window opens.
In the Edit relationships for this Section window, set the following parameters:
From the Resource type dropdown, choose the type of resource.
In the Related resource field, type the resource name and select it from the dropdown. To view all available resources of the selected type, type the * symbol.
To remove a relationship, click the Remove button next to the relationship you wish to remove.
Once you have made all the changes, click the Save change button.

View the results

Perform this task in the Catalog Sandbox organization.
Once you added the metadata field, it will be displayed on the search card on the search results page.
To see your metadata field:
In the Catalog Sandbox organization, go to the Discover page.
Perform a search for the resource type where you added the metadata field.
The field you added should now appear on the search card. You can hover over the value to view additional details.
If a field contains more than four values, a Show more option will appear. Click Show more to expand and view all the values.
