Adding descriptions in bulk to collection resources
Important
Note that only users with the Edit or Manage access to the specific collection or Edit or Manage access to All catalog resources at the organization level can bulk edit resources in collections. For details about permissions, see Planning user groups and their access levels.
Use Archie to automatically generate descriptions for multiple resources in your collection. The system allows you to generate up to 50 descriptions at a time and apply them in bulk.
To generate resource descriptions in bulk:
Go to the Collection page, Contains tab. From here you can bulk-edit the resources available in the specific collection.
Select a resource type, for example Table. The list of table resources appears.
From the Three-dot menu, select Suggest Descriptions. The Bulk Description page opens.
On the Bulk Description page utilize the filter tools, search and sort options to hone in on the specific resources you want to modify.
Select the resources you want to modify.
Click the Continue to bulk generation button. The system processes the request and fills the Description fields with automatically generated content. Existing descriptions will also be replaced with Archie suggestions.
Then, you are taken to the next step to Review changes.
Review the descriptions in the Description field. The content is pre-fixed with [Archie suggestion] to annotate that it is generated by Archie.
If you want to edit the description, click the text, make changes, and click Save. If you need rich content formatting, update it in the main resource view.
Select the descriptions you want to keep. Click the Confirm changes button to save updates.
After applying the bulk edits, click the Back to previous page button to return to the collection resources and view the applied changes.
