Managing API tokens visibility

Important

Only users with the Instance admin permission can access this feature.

Instance administrators can use this feature to enhance security of the data by managing the visibility of API tokens on the user Advanced profile page. By controlling the visibility of API tokens, administrators can significantly reduce the risk of unauthorized data access and ensure that sensitive information remains secure.

Note

API tokens may be used to download information from the API of your data.world instance. To learn more about the API tokens, go to the API keys and authentication page.

To manage API tokens visibility:

  1. Click your Profile icon on the right side of the top navigation. From the menu, select Admin portal.

  2. On the Admin portal, from the Settings page, select Downloads.

  3. On the Downloads page, from the API token visibility dropdown, choose from the following options:

    • All users: All uses in the application can access the API tokens.

    • Instance admins: API tokens are available only to instance administrators.

    • Disabled: Select this option to hide the API tokens for all users.

  4. Click the Apply download settings button.
