Suggesting business terms and catalog resources
Users of the catalog can suggest resources to further enrich the catalog. The suggestions go through an approval process and are accepted or rejected by users that are part of the approval process.
On which resources can you propose modifications?
Users with View access and Edit access in the catalog can suggest resources that are part of the configured automation.
Suggesting resources
As a user of the catalog you will not always have access to create new resources in the catalog. But, if you find the catalog is missing key resources, you can suggest creating such resources using the suggestions feature.
To suggest resources to the catalog:
Browse to the Organization profile page page. On the Overview, Resources, Collections, or Glossary tabs, click the Suggest button. If you are allowed to create resources in the organization, click the New button.
If you clicked the Suggest button, you can start creating the resource you wish to suggest.
If you created the New button, in the New resource window, turn on the Suggestion mode toggle to start suggesting a resource, instead of creating one.
After entering all the resource details, click the Suggest button to start the review process. During this stage, only the user who submitted the suggestion can make edits to the resource.
Users who can review the suggested resources are notified through emails and in-app notifications about your suggestions.
